NEW GATES ARE A MUST!

After an hour of pushing and pulling on Monday night, we were able to get these gates loose, so we could start our irrigation run this morning (Oct. 20). Because these gates are so old and rusty they were stuck down, not allowing water into to our neighborhood. As soon as our water run is over new gates and handles will be installed.

Main Stand Box Repairs Done

SPR sent out a notice that repairs were required on the main stand box on the East side of 57th Ave. and Cactus. These repairs were made last week.

Crack in the side of the box.
Crack in the top of the box.
Gate tracks inside of box were re-secured to concrete, and gate was greased.

Grime was ground off box walls and sealed with a two coat water proofing, masonry system.

Sediment was removed from bottom of the box.

Metal grate on top secured with additional bolts.

Replacement of Stolen Horse Head

A few years ago, the metal Horse Head from the sign on 57th Ave. and Cactus was stolen. We have received an estimate of $300.00 to replace the Horse Head. We are open to alternative suggestions.

Community Wall Repairs

As most of you have probably noticed we have some wall repairs that are needed. If we take care of these problems in the early stages it will be far less expensive. These problems have been caused by foundation settling or vandalism, not tree damage. These areas are along 57th Ave. and Sunnyside.

We have received an estimate of between $1,100.00 and $1,200.00 to repair the damage. If anyone in the neighborhood knows a mason, we are looking for additional bids.

Wall panels along 57th Ave. broken due to foundation settling.

Same panel as shown above.

Same area as above, crooked pillar.

Vandalism along Sunnyside.

Deterioration of wall along 57th Ave.
